Nestled within a sprawling expanse of approximately 450 rai, the Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai finds its sanctuary in a valley cradled by mountain ranges, surrounded by the untamed beauty of the San Kamphaeng natural forests. Regarded as one of Chiang Mai's premier golf destinations, Alpine has garnered acclaim by hosting the prestigious Asian Tour 2013 and 2014 Chiang Mai Classic. Its ascent to the professional circuit solidified its reputation for an exceptional world-class layout.
Spanning 18 holes, the Chiang Mai course stretches an impressive 7,541 yards from the black tees, providing a formidable challenge to seasoned golfers. Yet, the course doesn't discriminate, extending its embrace to all who revel in the joy of golf amidst the crisp embrace of country air and the proximity of nature. Whether teeing off from the white or blue tee boxes, players will find an equally delightful experience. This scenic marvel was originally envisioned by the esteemed golf course designer, Mr. Ron M Garl, who drew inspiration from the majestic hills that grace the horizon. The course treats golfers to an unending spectacle of natural beauty, with lush greenery sourced from the adjacent forests—home to a diverse collection of trees, including the resplendent golden teak wood and the stately mahogany.
In 2016, a new chapter was added to Alpine's legacy with the introduction of nine fresh holes. These novelties occupy the rear of the resort and are thoughtfully divided into three distinct zones. The pine tree zone offers a parkland experience, the wetland zone meanders through marshes, and the paddy zone showcases the essence of working rice paddy fields. The spectacle of a rice paddy green encircled by rice fields forms one of Thailand's rare par-3 holes. Seamlessly integrated with the original 18 holes, the new additions ensure that every player gets a taste of both the new and the classic.
Beyond the greens, Alpine Chiang Mai stands as a haven complete with a plethora of facilities—a 4-star resort, an international culinary haven, and a rejuvenating day spa—all set within the enchanting embrace of Chiang Mai's hillside panorama.
