Artitaya Golf & Resort Located approximately 50 kilometers to the south-east of Chiang Mai, the Artitaya Golf & Resort (previously known as Gold Canyon) is nestled within the picturesque mountainous expanse near Lamphun. Having initially opened its doors in 2009, the course reached its completion in 2012.
Designed by the local visionary, Mr. Senit, the golf course is a harmonious blend of natural beauty and human ingenuity. It finds itself enveloped by fields, orchards, verdant jungles, and rugged canyons. In contrast to many other golf courses in the Chiang Mai region, Artitaya features fewer water hazards and bunkers. However, its unique challenge lies in the arboreal sentinels that often stand in the middle of fairways and even grace the teeing grounds of certain holes.
Stretching just beyond 7,300 yards from the back tees, the Artitaya Golf Course boasts a relatively level landscape with gentle undulations. While the terrain allows for a comfortable game, the expansive layout necessitates traversing substantial distances between holes. Thankfully, the mandatory use of carts at Artitaya mitigates this concern, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable golfing experience.
