The very grounds upon which the Chiang Mai Highlands golf course stands are steeped in significance, as they encompass a 'power spot'—the sacred abode of Kuba Sivichai, the venerated monk who laid the foundation for the iconic Doi Suthep temple. Conceived by Lee Schmidt of Schmidt-Curley Design, the visionary behind renowned courses like Mission Hills, Amata Spring, and Siam CC, the course's brilliance is a testament to his ingenuity. Mere two years post its inauguration, Chiangmai Highlands catapulted onto the global golfing stage, lauded as one of Asia's preeminent golfing havens. Subsequent years have seen an array of accolades grace Chiangmai Highlands. In 2007, Asian Golf Monthly conferred upon Chiang Mai Highlands Golf & Spa Resort the distinguished title of 'Best New Golf Course in Asia.' This recognition was followed by the 2013 honor of being deemed the 'Best Value for Money Golf Course in Asia,' and culminated in 2015 when the same publication bestowed the title of “Best Golf Resort in Asia.”

The Highlands course itself embodies a realm of excitement and challenge, catering to golfers of all skill levels and presenting a spectrum of five distinct tee boxes.
